The Vox AC30 from the early 1960s is an iconic tube amplifier that has shaped the sound of an entire generation. Famous for The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, The Shadows and Queen, this amplifier offers brilliant, punchy sound with unique dynamics.
With 30 watts of power and four EL84 power tubes, the Vox AC30 offers an open, bell-like clean tone with natural compression that transforms into a creamy, harmonious tube distortion at higher volumes.
The combination of Alnico Blue speakers and the legendary Top Boost circuit makes the amplifier particularly expressive and musical.
The perfect amplifier for vintage rock & Brit-pop
Its three input channels (Normal, Brilliant and Vib/Trem) offer enormous versatility:
– Normal channel for warm, full cleans
– Brilliant channel (Top Boost) for sparkling highs and defined mids
– Vibrato/Tremolo channel for a floating, vintage-inspired modulation sound
Thanks to its extreme pedal compatibility and soft tube compression, the Vox AC30 is perfect for blues, classic rock, indie, and alternative sounds.
The Vox AC30 is one of the best British amplifiers of all time. Its warm, natural tube sound, exquisite dynamics, and iconic design make it a must-have for vintage enthusiasts and professional musicians alike.
